Whatever you already have. Documents, meeting transcripts, wiki pages, spreadsheets, policies, PDFs and recorded captures all go in as they are, and Omni builds one model of how the work runs from them. Add a source six months later and the model is refined rather than rebuilt.
How analyse any source works in Omni
No preparation project first
Nothing has to be rewritten, reformatted or tidied before it is useful. The material you already produce is the input, including the parts that were never meant to be documentation. A picture, an org chart or a screenshot is read as a picture; where a conclusion has to quote its source, material with no words to quote is turned away at the door and told why, rather than accepted and quietly used for nothing.
Every dimension, from the same material
One pass populates the processes, the people and roles, the systems, the data, the costs and the controls. They are dimensions of one model rather than separate exercises.
One place that holds everything you handed over
Every document, note, page and capture is kept as a source, exactly as you gave it, alongside whatever you said about it when you handed it over. You can see what has been read against it and what it is still supporting, and material is withdrawn rather than deleted, because conclusions point at it.
The same file twice is still one source
Material is fingerprinted on the way in, so sending the same export again cannot make one account look like two that agree. Three documents relaying one vendor’s opinion are read as one report repeated, not as corroboration.
Refined, not replaced
New sources update what is already there and flag where they disagree with it, so the model gets sharper over time instead of forking into versions.

Common questions
Do we need system event logs or instrumentation?
No. That is the difference from process-mining tools, which need instrumented systems most organisations do not have. Omni works from what people wrote and what they do, so the work that never touched a system is still visible.
What happens to material that contradicts itself?
It is surfaced rather than silently resolved. Two documents disagreeing about who approves something is a finding, and usually a useful one.
